International Financial Architecture Reform for Debt Sustainability and Development.
I specialize in conducting rigorous analysis and strategic advice for organizations committed to shaping an efficient and fair International Financial Architecture. My work aims at creating enabling conditions for developing countries’ to transform, grow and develop.
Provide evidence and innovative arguments showcasing the inefficiencies and development costs of the current IFA for the Global South.
Identify realistic reform-opportunities for the IFA with catalytic effects and large impact, as well as strategic opportunities for developing countries green transformation and growth agenda.
Conduct primary research and technical analysis on who gets what, and how in the current IFA, and identification of where the political-economic pressure-points lie to propel change.
Deliver bilateral capacity building for governments in the Global South, as well as for organisations active in multilateral circles and/or wishing to work directly with countries.
Impactful analysis that helps you understand and question the status quo. I conduct rigorous research and technical investigations that provide a differentiated analysis of current trends, evaluate existing governance arrangements and policies, and examine policy options for advanced and developing economies to adopt.
I advise multilateral organizations, governments, development agencies, foundations and non-governmental organizations in how their quest to reform the IFA can be the most impactful.
I also advise emerging markets and developing economies on how they can best navigate a playing field that is tilted against them.
I unpack and explain how the current IFA works, and how it enables, conditions and inhibits emerging markets and developing economies in their development. Experienced at academic and policy-conferences, I participate in roundtable discussions and workshops, give keynotes, speak to international media outlets, and provide off the record interviews for journalists.

Debt Management &
Debt Sustainability
Sovereign debt can be an important policy leaver for development, but too much of the wrong sort of debt, can undermine it. Sound debt management aimed at preserving debt sustainability is crucial to put debt to the service of development.
International Financial
Architecture Reform
Depending on its design, the IFA can enable or inhibit development in the Global South. Making the governance arrangements that safeguard the stability and function of the global monetary and financial systems fit for purpose is thus crucial for anyone vested in creating opportunities for all.
Development &
Sustainable Finance
Large-up front investments that allow countries to implement a well-designed climate action to boost economic growth, without undermining debt sustainability, are needed. The role of Multilateral and Regional Development Banks here is key and needs to be enhanced.
